Once you've decided to vacation in Charleston, you next have to find a great place to stay. You have more options than you think you do. For a great overall vacation, you will want to stay either in the historic downtown area, or on the waterfront. Resorts - Resorts are great for families and for those who want to do a minimum of planning or driving once in Charleston. Some resorts have their own golf courses and most have a lot of child friendly activities and dining options.

Camping & RV Parks - For the nature lover, or those of you just stopping through during your great southeast adventure, camping is a great way to save a lot of money and stay in some beautiful locations.
